: All County/area teams are usually the newspapers. The writers usually watch a lot of teams in their area and choose who they think is best. Most top teams get a few kids but the rest is usually pretty spread out. That local kid that transfered to a big powerhouse school and is now a minimal rotation player probably would of put up big stats at the local school and had a chance to be on the all area team but some people prefer being a small fish in a big pond rather than the big fish Ina small pond...to each their own.
In my area there’s one all county/area team that’s done by the newspaper but there’s another one that’s done by the coaches and this is the issues I talking about is the one with the coaches especially the coaches that didn’t play anybody good locally all year went out their way to avoid the other good teams in the area but walks into the meeting talking about my kid is one of the top kids in the county when all these other kids have been battling it out against each other all season smh
