Football and Baseball use Massey, why in the world would the other premiere sport not use the same? Ridiculous.

: Very true. Colley even says in his manifesto that the point of basketball or any sport is to win the game, the margin of victory does not matter. While this may hold true in higher levels, the high school level has a considerable disparity between the haves and have nots.

Each league in CIF needs to have a representative that is part of a ranking team. They need to meet in the beginning of January at the CIF and rank every team from 1 to 700. Then from there, the group meets again at the end of the season, and re-ranks all of the teams placing them in the appropriate divisions. They can use Maxpreps, or whatever other system they want, but the coaches know. 5A should be for ONLY small schools. No school with more than 500 students should be in that division. All the others can be hashed out. But, if you have actual high school coaches from each league doing the ranking, you will get much better results, and more accurate and competitive playoffs.
