: : St Marys Academy #207- Come on. This is a good team. Played a tough schedule. In a league with Bishop, La Salle, St Anthony. They beat Highland who is in the 70's. They are 12-5 on maxpreps. But 4-4 on scorebook live which the rankings use. Thats the problem. Scorebook live is worthless. If they used their current schedule they would move way up
CURRENT 126. MOVED UP 75 SPOTS

: : Morningside and St Francis- #174 and #172- Scorebook live has them at 1-0 except neither has a program or has girls teams. Another reason CIF needs to bypass scorebook live. How can we have faith in the rankings.

: : Lynwood #141- The just crushed Paramount by 25. They are a solid D1 team that has played all top D1 teams with a brutal schedule strength. If they stay in D3 they will win every game by 40.

: : Orange Lutheran #104. This is comedy. Scorebook live has them losing twice to O'Connor. Nope. It was once. They beat #10 La Salle, #23 Burroughs, #70 Paramount. Losses to all great teams. they should be top 20. Will crush in 2A which is where they will be.

CURRENT 72: MOVED UP 22

: : North #71- Just beat #12 Mira Costa. Won 2 of 3 against great teams in Hawaii. Playing well. Should be 30 spots higher.
CURRENT 62 MOVED UP9

: : Louisville #65- Finally playing with their full team. Needs to be in D1. So much talent. Only lost to #12 Mira Costa by 3 without their transfers. Yes of course Scorebook live has them losing twice in a row to Westlake by the same score. Come on.

: : Sage Hill #62- This is comedy. They are Open. Played a first class schedule. Only lost to Mater Dei by 12. Scorebook live has them beating Princeton 62-18 which never happened so if this was accurate they would drop even further. This again says there needs to be human element involved in rankings.

: : Brentwood #53- Come on. they are top 20 for sure. Tough schedule. 10-4. They beat #43 Los Osos by 58. They beat #54 Rialto by 20. They beat #10 Westlake by 11.

: : Oak Park #36- They need to be in top 20. Tough schedule. 9-3 record. Narrow losses to Moreno valley and Sage Hill. Win over #10 Westlake. Wins over Redondo, Lynwood.

: : Valencia #33- Way too high. Just got killed by #43 Chaminade. Needs to be in the 70's at least.

: : St Josephs #29- This team refuses to play anyone but get transfers. They are loaded but coach dodges. I like that they are in D1 but probably needs to be higher than #29

: : Windward #28- Yes they are in D1 but they are also way too low. Only lost to Mater Dei by 16. Have a win over #7 Bishop Montgomery.
CURRENT 54 MOVED UP 26

: : Burroughs #23- Not sure why they are 23. Every team they lost to is ranked lower than them. No disrespect but they are nowhere near #23.
CURRENT 36 MOVED DOWN 13

: : Beckman- #22- A nice win over LJCD but how can they be 22. They lost to J Serra Portola and Santa Margarita who are all lower than them.
CURRENT 25 DROPPED 4

: : Fairmont Prep #21- ANother Open team. Beat Sage hill by 17. They should be #6-#8 OPEN
CURRENT 14. MOCVED UP 7

: : Moreno Valley #19- Another who belongs in the Open. Only lost to MD by 15. Beat carondelet. Lost to BM in OT. Also Scorebook live has three of their scores duplicated twice. Dont even get me started. So their ranking will probably be lower.
MOVED DOWN 3

: : Hart #18- Come on. Should be 50 spots lower. Lost to Los osos #43 by 20. I dont see a quality win on their schedule.
MOVED UP 7

: : Rancho Cocamonga #15- Another crazy formula. Played nobody. Lost to hadow Hills who is in the late 20's. Rancho should be in the 80's minimum.
MOVED UP 4

: : Mira Costa #14- Lost 4 of last 5 games. Played a tough schedule but they are nowhere near 14. Need to be 35 or lower. 25 point loss to #71 North Torrance.
MOVED DOWN 20

: : King #11- Wow. Lost to Mater Dei by 65. Lost to #90 Esperanza. Lost to #25 Fairmont prep. All wins besides 1 against weak teams. So is this new formula increasing rankings by beating weak teams? Sure looks that way.

: : La Salle #10- Lost to Orange Lutheran #100. They are good dont get me wrong but they are not #10. Scorebook live has their win against Oakwood twice. Again this shows dont beat weaker teams or you will move up.

: : Crean Lutheran #9- Lost to King but another who is ranked high for beating weak teams. No quality win. Weak schedule. Should be late 20's

: : Westlake #7- Not sure why. Good team but lost to La Salle, Brentwood, Harvard Westlake, Oak Park who are all lower than them. They should be 20 or lower.

: : Rancho Christian #4- Good team. Not great. Loss to McClatchy not good. beat a lot of weaker teams. 20 point loss to Clovis West. Should probably be 15 or lower. Not #4 in OPEN. Again dont beat cupcakes or you will move up with this formula.

: : Please feel free to post more examples. Maybe CIF will listen and get a human element involved. When they see all the blowouts in playoffs im sure they will change it next year but why not try to fix it now. 60 percent of the data is in!

: There is definitely a lot still off. One of the things CIF has done to try and get the schedules right is when a coach is on the CIFSSHOME page and looking at their scores it is now asking to confirm with scores from Maxpreps. So many coaches still have not entered scores on the CIFSSHome page which is where they are asking. So all these records that you see wrong is 100% due to the coach of that school not following the directive of CIF to enter scores on CIFSSHOME after games. CIF has sent numerous emails(i've gotten at least 5 since the year began) and they keep saying schools will be ineligible for playoffs if they dont enter the scores.

: It seems way worse on the girls side with so many teams just not entering scores consistently. There are still a lot of games to be played but I'm sure it wont be until the last couple weeks when some coaches will finally decide to enter scores and then you will see some teams make big jumps like what will happen to Luezinger and St Marys
