: : : Was an assistant at MD, played for Kiernan at Troy,
: : : by being an MD assistant, lucked out and got the
: : : SC job when it was just beginning to be the
: : : program it is now. Thank the MD coach for her
: : : accomplishments now.
: : She definitely got the Sierra Canyon job right at the time when they were deciding to go all out and recruit girls' basketball. She has never had to develop any players, or any talent. All she has ever had to do is roll the ball out and they win. But Kiernan is the same at Mater Dei.
: And you all act like you wouldn't do the same thing if you were a head coach looking for a school to go to. Hmmmm....coach at my local public high school with limited resources or coach at a private school with unlimited resources. I wonder which one you all would choose. Oh and if you pick the public school then you are full of you know what. Besides the public schools that do recruit get chastised for doing the same thing these private schools do so its more of damned if you do and damned if you don't. Either way, you all will still be bitching about how unfair everything is because these schools get the best players. Well to beat the best you have to be the best so I suggest you start telling your head coaches and schools to start recruiting if not, then STFU!!
: It has nothing to do with what school we would choose or do or not do. It has to do with coaches like this being called the best in the area, when they are not. They win because of the talent. But they should win EVERY year with the talent. They don't. When you see the simplification of their offense or how they run their defense, and it is OBVIOUS that if they had less talent that they would never be competitive. That is what this is about. The best coaches are the ones who actually have to coach their players to make them better. That is what this is about.
