: Never seen a half baked idea so overdone. Why not just have professional leagues for HS players, as they do in other countries? Not enough people care about high school to make this proposal profitable.

: The CIF should just increase the number of open teams to sixteen. The reality is that there are about 20 teams in the CIF that have around 80 percent of the top 100 players in the Southern Section. Make those teams play each other every year, because they are always getting the top players. Most of those teams are private schools. Outside of Etiwanda and Long Beach Poly, no other public schools really, year in and year out, are power houses...even Long Beach Poly is starting to fall off in this area. Etiwanda, however is illegally recruiting everyone in that area and falls into the open category. Let these schools battle it out against each other. Outside of a couple of strange situations..like Oak Park being in Div 5A, the rest of the divisions are done fairly well.
