: Sort of. Hospitals did receive more for Covid treatment (which required a posiitive test) from Medicare than they did other respiratory illnesses.

: So unless cause of death was Covid, and the patient was on Medicare, then the hospital did get more than some other ailments. Not sure why that would be strange. At the time, Covid treatment was extremely expensive as they didn't have the medical protocols in place like they do now.
