CIF Transfer Rules

There seems to be some confusion about transfers. Here are the rules

1) A player can transfer anywhere they want and it can be athletically motivated.

2) Even though its athletically motivated there cant be undue influence.

.......You cant follow your HS coach who moves to another school- 1 year sit out
.......You cant follow your club coach and transfer to his school. That includes if he is part of a club program. For example he coaches top team but you are on the second or third team. Its still undue influence- 1 Year sit out

3) To avoid the SOP you must move if its your second transfer.
