Give Johnson a break. He coaches at Santa Ana, a low Division School which gets no talent. Santa Ana was irrelevant before he got there. Had a winning record in the two years he was there, and got the most out of what he had. Not many coaches would have been able to succeed there.

And as an Assistant Coach - you do have more time for your family, as you don’t have to worry about all the other headaches that come along with being a Head Coach - no scheduling, no paperwork, deal less with the Parent BS….

Lots of whining and complaining with zero substance in this forum. Good for him for sacrificing his time at Santa Ana, going .500, and competing with what he got. Now he goes to Beckman as an Assistant, to spend more time with his family - and guys give him sh*t about that? This forum is wild.
