SoCal High School Tournament News
The Redondo Union Sea Hawk Classic--(October 31, 1997)
Redondo Union High just keeps on coming up with these great tournaments. This one is the Sea Hawk Classic, and at present it's an eight team tournament, which will take place from December 26 through December 30, 1997 at Redondo Union High School. Again, we want to thank Coach Jim Nielsen, and Joe Cascio, the Assistant Tournament Director of both the 46th Annual Pacific Shores Tournament and the Sea Hawk Classic for filling us in on the details.
We don't have the brackets, game times or the full rosters yet, but we will and as soon as we do we'll let you know. The period of December 26 through the 30th is a very busy time in basketball. There will be no less than about 10 separate tournaments in the Los Angeles regional area (the details of most are just starting to roll in), as well as at least two local AAU 9&U-14&U tourneys, and the ARC/Slam-n-Jam Las Vegas Classic. A very busy time.
We've got to recommend though that you don't miss the Sea Hawk Classic. But if you must see another tournament, we've got to recommend that you consider splitting your time between the Sea Hawk and the Best in the West, which will be just down the road in Long Beach.
The
Tournament will feature some of the top players in SoCal. As listed by Dino Trigonis in "Full Court Press" they are: |
