Joe Riccio and His Dad; Chris Christoffersen--October 16, 1997

The LA Times reported today that Joe Riccio, a standout guard for Thousand Oaks last year, averaging 13 points per game and 3.2 steals, has transferred from T.O. to Santa Paula High School.

Seems Joe's dad, Joe Riccio Sr., is also the Athletic Director at Santa Paula.

The Times also reported that Chris Christofferson (Sr. 7-0, 250lb C), a Danish exchange student has returned again from Denmark to finish his senior year at Nordhoff High School. He was awarded All-League honors last year in the Frontier League, averaging 6.3 blocked shots per game.

Word is that he wanted to come back to the U.S. to get experience and exposure for college in the U.S. At 7-0, he should be a top prospect this year.
