Irvine Valley Bill Mulligan Men's
Basketball Tournament--(November 21, 1997)

This is being posted at about 5:30 p.m on Friday evening. If you drive really really fast, you just might be able to make the tip-off of the 6:00 p.m. semifinal of tonight's game between Riverside Community College and Cerritos Community College. The game is at Irvine Valley Community College, which is located at 5500 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine CA 92620. You can call (714) 451-5100 for directions, but by now my guess is that everyone's gone home.

If you're a little more concerned with your own safety and that of others, you might make it to the 8:00 p.m. game in which Irvine Valley will meet Long Beach, a 92-62 winner over West Los
Angeles last night, in the other semifinal game.

Last night Ramian Raibon scored 25 points as Irvine Valley beat Southwestern, 81-74. Ben Esplin scored 21 points, including four three-pointers, and 10 rebounds. David Wilson scored 10 points and 11 boards for the host Irvine Valley Lasers (2-0). We're not sure who Riverside or Cerritos beat to reach their semi final game, but we'll find out and post it up here for you.
