High School Midnight Madness
This Friday--(November 11, 1997)

More than a few high schools will feature a midnight madness program this year. Among those in the San Fernando Valley will be West Hills Chaminade Prep and Encino Crespi (both in the Mission League competing in 5-A CIF).

The Chaminade event will begin at 10:30 pm with shooting contests and at midnight, coach Jeff Young's excellent team (which we've profiled earlier) will take the floor promptly at 12:00 midnight.

At Crespi the event will start with a barbecue at 10:30 pm, and will feature a hot shot contest, a three point contest, and a $100 half-court shot competition. As additional entertainment, some of the Crespi coaches will play against students, which will be followed by a team scrimmage featuring Crespi's varsity and jv players.
