About a few of tonight's games:
UC Santa Barbara (1-0) v. USC (2-1): Adam Spanich has been hampeered by a bruised knee and may not play, but it looks like Kevin Augustine will play. He was complaining of dizziness, but an ECG revealed nothing. Santa Barbara is led by 6'-0" 185 lb. guard Raymond Tutt, who average 24.1 ppg last season as a junior. Look for USC's other freshman to have good games, including Greg Lakey, whom we think has great potential along with Jeff Trepagnier.
Utah (2-0) at Loyola Marymount (0-2): This game will not be close. Utah is ranked 16th in the country, and is led by Hanno Mottola and Michael Doleac, who has been suffering with an ankle sprain but who will play tonight. Doleac is averaging 12 ppg and 11 boards, while Mottola is averaging 16 ppg and 8 boards. They also have Andre Miller, who's averaging 14 points. Not much of a chance for LMU. But then stranger things have happened before. The Utes have won 19 of the 20 times the schools have played.
Norfolk State (0-3) at Long Beach State (1-1): Hopefully, NSU still has their tickets and can get out of town. This should be a good game though. The teams are pretty evenly matched size wise, although Long Beach gets the edge.
Lewis-Clark (1-1) at Fullerton (1-1) : Ike Harmon probably won't play after suffering a mild concussion Saturday night. Lewis-Clark College is an NAIA school, was 8-17 last year, and really should get walloped tonight by the Titans. Lewis-Clark is led by forward Jonathon George, who transferred last year from Antelope Valley College. Chris Dade is averaging 18.5 ppg for the Titans.
