Pasadena Area Hoops: Games

There were only a few games played on Thursday anywhere in SoCal, but more than a few of them were played in the Pasadena area. Here are the scores and highlights of the Alpha League Games played in the Pasadena region.

ALPHA LEAGUE

L.A. Baptist 66, Village Christian 57

Frank Vasquez scored 17 points and Evan Regenstreif had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights (7-11, 2-4) in an Alpha League victory at L.A. Baptist. Paul Tait scored 20 points for Village Christian (8-12, 4-2).

Maranatha 66, Frazier Mtn. 44

Freshman forward David Newkirk had a huge night with 19 points and 20 rebounds during the Minutemen's (7-11, 4-2) easly Alpha League road victory.

Marshall 72, Kilpatrick 59

The Eagles (16-5, 6-0) ranked No. 1 by the Pasadena Star-News, received a test, but still hung on for the Alpha League victory. Sophomore forward Deverion Mackey scored 18 points, and guard Brian Holifield had a 16 point night in the game, which was played at Pasadena High. Miles Alexander had 12 points and Brandon Marshall scored 10 for Marshall.
