State Rankings--(January 29, 1998)
You want rankings, we've got rankings. Cal Hi Sports publishes rankings not only by CIF Divisions, but also overall rankings. We've got most of them, because people keep asking for them. So here they are, as published yesterday, January 28, 1998. The curious thing about the Cal Hi rankings though is that most local papers will only publish the "Divisional" rankings for those teams in their areas. These came from the Daily News. It looks like the DN doesn't consider any Division I-A or I-AA teams in their "area" because in addition to the overall rankings, they only published the Division II, Division III and Division IV rankings. Anyway, here's what we were able to find from Cal Hi Sports today:

Compton (13-3)
