Gee, our favorite subject again, rankings. Cal Hi Sports publishes the rankings for boys' basketball teams on a statewide basis. These were published today in several local papers, so let's just call them the rankings for the week of January 19, 1998. Given the overall records, these were likely printed after the MLK Challenge, and so, as most people predicted, Compton Dominguez made it back to the No. 1 spot, while Westchester dropped to No. 3. Anyway, for what it's worth, here's Cal Hi Sport's two-cents worth about who is who in California Boys' Basketball. The intersting thing about this poll is that 14 out of the top 20 are from SoCal.
