That's right, you read that correctly 19 points. Tustin only had 5 players score the entire evening. The high scorer hit seven, the next highest 5, then 4, 2 and finally 1 point. What a dismal game, as . Ocean View set a school record for the fewest points allowed in a game as the second-ranked Seahawks defeated No. 8 Tustin, 54-19, in a Golden West League game Friday night. The previous record was 22 points, set against San Luis Obispo and tied this season against Westminster. Ocean View (18-4, 8-0), which led 23-2 at the half and 40-6 at the end of the third, had defeated Tustin (18-6, 5-3) in their first league game, 59-49. At the end of the second they had made just one basket, and likewise, they only scored once in the third. Tustin finished the first half shooting 1 of 25 from the floor. It was not just the defense, which was impressive, but DeShaun Foster and Troy Sims both missed from point-blank range. Tony Dow led the Seahawks with 13 points, but no other Ocean View player had more than eight either.

Santa Ana 66, Westminster 42

Chris Galvin scored 27 pints as the Saints improved to 9-15 and 2-6 in league by beating the Westminster Lions who are winless both on the season (0-18) and in league play at 0-8.

Laguna Hills 55, Laguna Beach 51

Laguna Hills reached 19 victories for the first time in school history. The victory also gave Laguna Hills (19-5, 6-2) sole possession of first place in the Pacific Coast League and put it a game up on Estancia (16-8, 5-3) and University (18-9, 5-3), both winners Friday. Laguna Hills, which has won four in a row, plays at Costa Mesa (4-18, 0-8) Wednesday and closes out at home against Aliso Niguel (12-12, 4-4) Friday.

Laguna Beach (15-9, 4-4) fell into a fourth-place tie with Aliso Niguel, but not without a fight. The Artists suited up only seven players because of injuries, then lost starting forward Spencer Dornin for a good chunk of the second half after Dornin injured his right knee with 5 minutes 11 seconds left in the third quarter. He didn't return until the 4:54 mark of the final quarter, and his knee was heavily bandaged. Laguna Hills opened a 32-17 lead shortly before half-time, but couldn't buy a basket after that, and the Artists crept back into contention on the strength of an 18-7 run. A three-point basket by guard B.J. Jameson closed out the third quarter with the Hawks ahead, 39-36. A driving basket by Chris Sirianni with 4:22 left cut Laguna Hills' lead to 45-44. Mater Dei 37, Dana Hills 35

The Monarchs moved into a tie for second place in the South Coast League with Dan Hills, and both are now 5-3 in league, one game behind Capistrano Valley. Mater Dei lost to Dana Hills two weeks ago 53-46 for its first ever South Coast League defeat. They then lost to Trabuco Hills and Capistrano Valley in the next games. On Friday, Mater Dei, which is 15-7 overall, outscored Dana Hills 11-5 in the fourth quarter and held DH to one basket in the fourth. Dana Hills dropped to 12-12 overall. Dana Hills had led 30-26 going into the fourth quarter, but Steve Scoggin made two free throws to cut the lead to two, and an inside pass from Mike Bayer to Steve Henderson tied it at 32-32 with 5:12 to play. Bayer then made a layup a minute later to put Mater Dei on top by two, and then Derrick Mansell hit a three-pointer to make it 37-32 with 3:17 to play. DH's Larry Page responded with a layup to pull within 37-34.

Sunset League

Edison 47, Fountain Valley 45

Edison scored only five points in the final quarter, but held off Fountain Valley, 47-45, and took sole possession of second place in the Sunset League. Fountain Valley (11-11, 4-4 in league) had been one of the league's hottest teams, winning four of its last five games. But the Barons fell as the visiting Chargers (13-8, 5-3) saw the upside of good defense. Edison, not expected to challenge for the league title, remained one game behind Los Alamitos, which it plays Wednesday; third-place Fountain Valley is two games back with two to play.

Edison limited Eric Edmunds to just eight points--all in the third quarter--and didn't give up a point in the final 2 minutes 45 seconds as it avenged a 56-48 loss in the previous meeting. In that game, Edmunds scored 15. Though a 6-0 run in the final 1:40 of the third quarter--including Logan Saito's basket underneath at the buzzer--provided a 42-35 cushion going into the fourth quarter, it disappeared quickly. Fountain Valley's full-court pressure led to an 8-0 run--including consecutive baskets by Sean Burns, one off Nate Rogers' steal, the other off Rogers' assist--which made it 43-42, Barons. But Edison's Raden Sami (11 points) scored inside and Ian Jennings (15 points) buried a three-pointer with 3:48 left. The Chargers' 47-43 lead held up. Jennings was averaging 5.5 points, but worked his way into the starting lineup in recent games. Sami, Jennings, Hwan Min and Daniel Nehrig rotated on Edmunds. He was three-for-six shooting, but had only two shots in the first half. No Barons' starter scored double figures, though Brad Keenan scored 10.

Esperanza 54, Huntington Beach 53

Pat McCarty scored 14 points and Kevin Brown added 12 for Esperanza (9-15, 2-6).

Los Alamitos 66, Marina 47

Ryan Ellis scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Ricardo Garibay added 16 points for Los Alamitos (14-8, 6-2). Jeff Hung scored 13 points to lead Marina. The Griffins remain tied with Bellflower. Marina dropped to .500 across the board at 11-11 overall and 4-4 in league.
