Bakersfield and Hemet: Saturday's Games
From North to South--(February 2, 1998)

Ok, so this is a bit of a strange geographical combination, but so what. There was only one game in Bakersfield on Saturday, and one other in the Indio area. We didn't want to "orphan" either of these games, so we've put them together, short and sweet. Here they are:

Bakersfield Saturday

NON-LEAGUE

Centennial 67, Foothill 47

Brett Lantz scored 16 points and Clint Mills had 15 to lead Centennial (10-10) to the non-league victory Friday night.

Indio Saturday

VICTORY LEAGUE

Baptist Christian High 80, West Shores 30

Every member of the Baptist Christian High School boys basketball team scored during an 80-30 thrashing of West Shores, Saturday. The Warriors amassed a massive 46-11 lead by halftime, and were never seriously challenged. BC's Victory League record is now 7-2, and they are in second place in the league. Overall their record stands at 13-5. Barry Meisel led the way for the Warriors with 19 points, followed by Shane Stevenson with 12 points, and Noel Grammer and Justin Sadler each with ten. BC next hosts Bloomington Christian at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday.
