USC vs.
UNLV at the Sports
Arena Tonight--(December 2,1997)
USC will matchup tonight against UNLV. The Trojans are currently 4-1, but have been anything but consistent. Bibby's been angry with them for playing "selfish" basketball. The Trojans will have to get a more balanced attack going, or they're going to get hammered by UNLV, which is still hurting from a 92-68 loss they took against Kansas in the preseason NIT, so they'll be looking for someone to take out their frustrations on.
USC doesn't really have a center, or anyone taller than 6'-8, so they'll be looking to Greg Lakey and Shannon Willlis for some rebounding and scoring tonight, something they didn't get much of against San Diego State on Saturday night. The Trojans will get off lucky though because Keon Clark, UNLV's 6'-11" center reportedly will miss the game, as will Kevin Simmons, both of whom are on suspension by tghe NCAA for accepting trips from an agent to visit Disney World in Florida.
Jeff Trepagnier also looks to be over his dizziness, and perhaps the viral infection that he thought he had is gone. Anyway, here's the matchups and the rosters. UNLV is 2-1 having lost to Kansas, but having beaten Loyola Marymount 96-81, and Eastern 84-66. Tickest are still available, the game is on radio at KEZY-FM (95.9) and is on Fox Sports West 2 at 7:30 pm.
