Jeremiah Turner Out 'Til February--(December 29, 1997)

More catching up on last week's doings, including some brief news flashes.

Here's one we came across from last week while we were gone: Jeremiah Turner (6'-6" Sr. F) from LA's Sylmar High will be out of commission for at least the next month, and probably well into the end of the regular season. And considering that LAUSD City Section CIF regular season play extends only until February 13 before the playoffs start, this could be a bad omen for Sylmar. Seems that Turner broke his hand, and won't be able to play at all until then. So now that Mr. Wrighster has transferred from Buckley to Sylmar, maybe we'll see him step it up a bit there. Turner will undergo surgery this week. Good luck Jeremiah.
