Santa Paula Tournament: Morro Bay
Wins Championship--(December 30, 1997)

This tournament ended yesterday, and Morro Bay won it all, defeating Oak Park.

Morro Bay's Ryan Gray scored 20 points Monday night to lead his team to a 68-60 championship win over Oak Park.. Greg Jones scored 21 points for Oak Park. Gray was named the tournament MVP.

The All Tournament Team included Dane Van Coops and Matt Eppenheimer of Morro Bay, Greg Jones and Zack Smith of Oak Park, Jacob Rogers of Oxnard, Joey Riccio of Santa Paula and Tori Young of Santigo.

In the Third place game, Oxnard defeated Hueneme 84-52. Damian Tafoya scored 25 points and Jacob Rogers had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Yellowjackets (6-4) in the third-place game of the Santa Paula tournament.

Joey Riccio scored 23 points for Santa Paula in the 57-51 consolation championship win over Rio Mesa.
