National Sports Grill Tourney: Santa Margarita
Advances over Villa Park--(December 6,1997)

Ryan Forehan-Kelly (6'-4" Sr F) of Santa Margarita shot three three-pointers in the second half as Santa Margarita beat Villa Park, 60-44, in Friday's semifinals of the National Sports Grill tournament at Loara High. Forehan-Kelly finished with four three-pointers and 20 points. Chris Hillman (6'-0" Sr. PG) led Villa Park with 15 points. The Spartans (2-1) were 13 of 13 from the free-throw line and led by one point at halftime, 25-24.

The Eagles, who are now 3-0, will play San Bernardino Pacific in the championship game tonight at Loara.

In the other semifinal game San Bernardino Pacific beat Servite 68-57, and Mike Hall of SBP scored 21, while Chaun Ballard had 19. Servite, which is now 2-1 on the season, led 32-25 at the half, but went cold in the third quarter, scoring only 8 points, and never really regaining any momemtum. Steve Shea led Servite with 27 points.

In the consolation bracket, El Dorado beat Woodbridge 63-56 as Mike Garther led the visiting El Dorado Golden Hawks with 18 points.
