Katella Klassic: Where is This One? Some
Early Results--(December 29, 1997)

This is one of those "regionally oriented" tournaments, featuring some small schools, some of whom play together in league play, who want a chance to get in some pre-season action, but who don't do any real holiday travel. This Tournament is another one which is pretty obscure to us, but which was reported in a few of the papers. The teams look pretty good, but the two games which were reported did look a bit lopsided.

We're also not certain about the continued scheduling, but it was still going on last Friday, December 26, as Orange County's Bolsa Grande beat Hesperia Sultana 78-57. Duc Nguyen scored 14 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter as Bolsa Grande outscored Sultana, 37-15, in the pool-play game. Nguyen made five three-pointers in the game.

In another Friday game in this tourney, Harbor City Narbonne beat Western 59-47 as Jahan Rana scored 13 points and had two assists for Western. Western, which dropped to 3-6 played Bolsa Grande on Saturday, but we have not been able to get the results of that game.

If anyone knows anything else about the teams playing here, schedules, stats or anything else, post it up. We'll also try checking the line scores and if we can we'll put up the results if we find any.
