Katella Klassic Tournament: Katella
Wins Final--(December 31, 1997)

Yet another Orange County Tournament won by the host team.

In the Katella Klassic last night, No. 6 ranked Katella High defeated Bolsa Grande 75-57, as Rob Abercrombie score 20 points. Duc Nguyen scored 22 points for Bolsa Grande in the loss. Katella's ranking is probably secure with the win, but don't count on them to improve that ranking with this win.

Nobody figured that Bolsa Grande would be such an easy victory, especially after Monday's Semifinals in which BG defeated Harbor City Narbonne 81-72. In that one, Duc Nguyen scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half, and made 12 of 14 free throws. Bolsa Grande, is now 10-4 on the season with the loss to Katella.

We didn't get any other information on the other scores in this tournament from the finals, so if anyone knows of the All-Tourney Team, MVP, or any of the other games, let us know. If we can get some line scores or boxes, we'll put them up for everyone.
