Fall Discovery Shootout:
Streetwise Team Roster & Schedule--(Sept. 19, 1998)
We don't kno a lot about most of these players, but it will be a very fun group to watch with rising star Torin Beeler, who as a freshman at Oceanview showed glimpses of what he will do this year. Torin is a tough, hard-working player with great skills and he's extremely bright and savvy on the court. He's got a nice pull up j, and can also beat his man off the dribble and go strong to the hoop. Neal Hammad is also a tough player, very tenacious on d, and he has a nice shot and will do well for Canyon this year, as will Roger Hogan, who plays with as much attitude as any player we've seen, sometimes a bit too much for our liking. But Roger is also a very smart player, physical and a good defender. Adam Tancredi could be the sleeper for Mater Dei, Adam is a big, strong wide-bodied kid who will play more of a role for Mater Dei's inside game this season. He has has good hands and balance and is starting to add some muscle. Here's the roster:
Kenny Crabb (6'-1" Sr. G)
Tustin
Torin Beeler (6'-3" Jr. G/F) Oceanview
Neal Hammad (6'-2" Sr. G) Canyon
Matt Horvath (5'-11" Prep.School G)
Roger Hogan (6'-0" Jr. G) Canyon
Aaron Tudor (6'-0" Fr. G) Trabuco Hills
Kevin Edmonds (6'-3" Fr. G) Fountain Valley
Micah Johnsn (6'-4" Prep. G/F)
Peter Johnston (6'-5" Sr. F) Tustin
Jason Zippel (6'-9" Sr. C) Foothill
Adam Tancredi (6'-8" Jr. F/C) Mater Dei
