Simi Valley Christmas Tourney Will
Include Grant High--(Sept. 22, 1998)

Simi Valley's 14th Annual Simi Valley Basketball Tip Off Classic, which is usually played during the first week of December (last year it was December 2-6) will include LA Grant High School featuring Gilbert Arenas (6'-3" Sr. SG) and a couple of new players like Mike Charleston (6'-4" So. F) and returning players Daniel Tarr (5'-11" Sr. SG) and Justin Buttikofer (6'-2" Sr. F). Last year's tournament was played at both Simi and Camarillo High during the pool play rounds, and the final single elimination round was held at Simi. Teams which participated, and which are anticipated to be in attendance this year include Chatsworth High, Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks), Canoga Park, Camarillo, Chaminade, Santa Barbara, Simi Valley, Hart, North Hollywood, Palmdale, and Newbury Park.

Of course the tournament will also feature Simi Valley, which will feature Rafael Berumen (6'-9" Sr. F/C), Branduinn Fullove (6'-4" Jr. SG), Shaun Michel (6'-2" So. G) and Brett Michel (6'-6" Jr. F).
