Joe Shipp Is Ahead Of The Wave:
Pepperdine Offers--(Sept. 15, 1998)

Riding a big wave, Lorenzo Romar has reportedly rolled into Joe Shipp's home, and has made him an offer that he may not be able to refuse. Shipp (6'-5" Sr. SG/SF) from LA Fairfax, who was injured for much of last year, has recovered better than ever and he played great last weekend. Joe is mulling the offer over, and we hear that with his great performance last week at the dada Fall Hoops Classic for TPI that he will be getting a ton of other offers too. In addition to Pepperdine, we understand that Washington, Washington State and USC are all interested, as well as Temple and several other Big West and WAC schools. Hopefully, we'll find out more in the next few days.
