adidas/Double Pump Discovery Shootout:
Rockfish To Send Two, Maybe Three Teams--(Sept 16, 1998)

The rosters for the Rockfish teams are not quite set yet, but we look for them to bring two, and maybe even three teams to the adidas/Pump Discovery Shootout at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 & 20.

Assuming that they bring at least the Rockfish 1 team, you'll see the usual suspects, including:

Shantay Legans (5'-10" Sr. PG) from Dos Pueblos who has committed to Cal; Dalron Johnson (6'-8" Sr. PF) from Verbum Dei, who last week was trying to decide between Cal and UNLV, and since Justin Davis (6'-8" Sr PF) from Alameda has now committed to Cal, we'd look for him to go with UNLV; Rafael Berumen (6'-9" Sr. PF/C) from Simi Valley, who was also on Cal's list, but is very involved with New Mexico presently; Brian Wethers (6'-4" Sr. SG) from Murrieta Valley who has also committed to Cal; Eric Seiss (6'-3" Sr. G) from Redlands; Russell Lakey (6'-0" Jr. PG) from Harvard-Westlake; and some others we're not quite sure of yet.

On the Rockfish II team, we're really in the dark on this one, except that we do know that Will Sheslow (6'-0" Fr. PG) who recently enrolled at Montclair Prep in Van Nuys will be playing with the II's.

Dave Benezra has promised to send us the rosters as soon as all the details have been eked out, and we don't expect to have them until much later tonight, or first thing tomorrow. As soon as we get them, we'll let you know.
