Some Rim Rattler Changes And Additions--(Sept. 26, 1998)

We talked with Dinos Trigonis late last night, and he told us that there will be several changes and additions to the rosters today. In the Sophomore game, look for Keilon Fortune (5'-11" So. PG) from Dominguez and several other new names, and we wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a freshman or two out on the floor as well. Dinos will make several other changes to the senior and junior rosters too because Gilbert Arenas is at Arizona, Casey Jacobsen is at Stanford, Brian Wethers and Julius Barnes are still nursing injuries and may not play, Branduinn Fullove (6'-6" Jr. SG/SF) from Simi Valley "may" be hurt, Chris Osborne is at ASU, and several others are doubtful. But this will give all the guys who haven't committed yet, like Kyle Dodd (6'-0" Sr. PG) from Brea Olinda, Mike Stowell (6'-3" Sr. SG) from Capistrano Valley, Ryan Abrahams (6'-2" Sr. SG) from Pacific Hills, and Wayne Bernard (6'-3" Jr. SG/SF) San Diego Horizon.

The games start at 1:00 p.m. at Long Beach City College, beginning with the Sophomore game, followed by the Junior game, and then several top Senior games, and finally concluding with the JUCO game.

And yes, there's a grain of truth to the rumor that Kenny Brunner will show up. And if he does, he may play in the JUCO game, along with Schea Cotton (if Schea isn't still injured--last week he didn't play for LBCC, but "coached" the team from the sidelines).
