Porterville JC Gets A Big Gun--(Sept. 5, 1998)

Porterville Community College has picked up former Texas center Lamar Wright (6'-8" Fr. F) from Dallas, Texas. He was released (actually kicked off the team by former Texas Coach Penders) a few weeks into practice last fall and never played for the Longhorns. A huge signing for Porterville, always a strong contender in JC ball in California.
