Update On The 1998 dada
Fall Hoops Classic--(Sept. 8, 1998)

The word now is that Dinos Trigonis has received so many requests from high profile traveling teams and from local area kids wanting exposure that a 32 team field wouldn't suffice. In order to accomodate the greater demand for participation in the 1998 dada Fall Hoops Classic, Dinos has had to divide the tournament into two divisions, an "open" division featuring 32 of the top teams from around the country, and a 12 team "shootout" division featuring some of the best local talent. And as Frank Burlison also reports this morning in the Orange County register, most of the top players and teams will showing up, including "the Artesia trio of Jason Kapono, Amaury Fernandez and Jack Martinez (playing for QBL/Lakewood), Tyson Chandler and Keith Kincade of Dominguez of Compton (The Hood), Tito Maddox of Compton (Team Reebok/Compton) and Casey Jacobsen of Glendora (Top Prospects)." There are many more, and we've already listed most of them previously.

This is a tournament you don't want to miss. Games start Friday at 4 p.m. and wrap up with the open championship Sunday night at 7 p.m.. The games will take place at Long Beach City College. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students and children.
