Kenny Brunner Is Alive And Well--(Sept. 28, 1998)

This past Saturday at Long Beach City College, during the final Top 24 Senior Game, there they were:  On one side of the gym, there was Kenny Brunner (5'-8" ??PG) late of the LA Twin Towers Correctional facility, wearing a plaid jacket, striped  49'er's brown collared shirt, jeans and Doc Martins'-type boots.  He looked a little worse for wear given his recent digs for the last 8 months, but he was clearly glad to be out and about.  He was shaking hands, greeting people, and looking just a little bit humbled and maybe (geez I hate to say this but there's no other words that come to mind) a bit gun-shy from all the attention he was getting from people in attendance.

And guess who was on the other side of the gym at LBCC?   None other than Mike Miller, coach at LACC and the purported victim in the incident which sent Kenny to the slammer in the first instance.  We wonder if Miller recognized Brunner, or whether he was just another face in the crowd?
