Gilbert Arenas Doubtful For dada Fall
Hoops Classic This Weekend--(Sept. 8, 1998)

The word is that Gilbert Arenas (6'-3" Sr. SG) will not play in the 1998 dada Fall Hoops Classic with Casey Jacobsen, Jason Morrissette, Joe Shipp and the rest of the TPI squad, or with anyone else for that matter. Seems that on Friday, Gil was out shooting around in an informal pickup game at a local Valley area gym when his right hand got jammed on a defensive play. Gilbert is now wearing a soft cast, and will not play. Gilbert still has an official visit planned to Kansas State on September 18, and he wants to be healed up by then. We've also heard that both Arizona and Arizona State have scheduled official visits with Gil, and De Paul has scheduled an in-home visit.
