4 "D" Stars Labor Day Tourney JV Division:
USA Red, Blue, 4 "D" & More--(Sept. 3, 1998)

The 4 "D" Stars Labor Day Tournament gets underway tomorrow, and there will be qute a few teams coming to town, with the big names in the JV Division being USA Red & Blue (Larry Gray's program), the 4 "D" team coached by Eric Washington, and the Cerritos Hoyas.

Ultra Student Athletes will be bringing two teams, the USA JV Red and USA JV Blue. The Blue Team features Otis Hankins (6'-5" Fr. F/C) from Inglewood High, Ronald Gray (6'-1" Jr. SG/SF) from Taft High School, Andre Johnson (6'-0" Jr. G) from Carson High, Twaine Waite (6'-0" Jr. G) from Carson High, Jed Harmsen (6'-3" So. F) from Crossroads, Randal Odums (5'-6" So. G) from Serra, Senian Norman (5'-10" Jr. G) from Inglewood High, Kenneth McCullum (5'-10" So. G) from Fairfax, Leslie Hagan-Morgan (5'-10" So. G) from Hollywood High, Gersson Benavides (5'-7" So. G) from Inglewood High, John Smith (5'-5" Fr. G) from Lynwood High, and Robert Cave (5'-8" So. G) from Crossroads. The USA Red team features Lester Clay (6'-3" So. F) from Crenshaw, Eric Jones (5'-10" Fr. G) from Fairfax, John McGee (6'-2" Sr. F) from Westchester High, Quentin Burney (5'-11" Jr. G) from San Dimas High, John Woodard (5'-6" So. G) from Westchester High, Vincent Williams (6'-2" So. F/C) from Santa Monica High, Blake Walker (6'-4" So. G/F) from Cajon High, Daniel Malwah (6'-3" So. G/F) from Pacific Hills, Marcus Roberson (6'-1" So. G/F) from Crenshaw, and Marcel Farmer (5'-10" Jr. G) from Westchester. Other teams playing in the JV division will be a team from Northern California called the NorCo Stampede (actually they may be from "Norco" California, but Reynaldo wasn't sure, and he told us "Northern California", but we might have misunderstood), a team from Lancaster, the Cerritos Hoyas, the Orange County Bulls, and 4 "D"'s own Meteors featuring John Clemmons (5'-10" Jr. PG) from Westchester and Daniel Yerelian (6'-0" Jr. F) from Peninsula High, both of whom will play varsity ball this year. The 4 "D" team is coached by Eric Washington and they are sure to be tough.

The JV semi-finals will be held at Leuzinger High at 8:50 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. on Sunday night.
