LA Maccabi Team Undefeated
In Two Games--(August 18, 1998)

We don't have the actual scores from LA's two games today and yesterday, but we know they won them both pretty easily, the first against a team from Rockland (NY?) and the second today against St. Louis. The high scorer in both games was Adam Drell (6'-6" Jr. F) and Eric Geffner (6'-5" Jr. F). Matt Bendick (5'-10" Jr. G) played very good on defense and distributed the ball well. Darren Freedman (5'-10" Jr. G) and Kelly Ross (5'-10" Jr. G) both played very well, scoring from out side with nice J's and playing tough defense. Josh Lewis, Adam Allegro and David Fisher also played very unselfishly, passing, slamming and jamming. Chad Garson played very well on Monday, but today was bothered by back troubles, and saw limited time in the second half after being the victim of a terrible intentional foul by one of the St. Louis players as he was going up for a layup. Darren Tarlow (6'-4" Sr. F) did not play in the St. Louis game, suffering from a stomach virus.

LA faces a tough team from Philly tomorrow at 10: 00 a.m. and this could be their toughest contest prior to entering the Medal Round on Thursday.
