Ah, the Gilbert Arenas watch is back. What's it been? Two weeks? Maybe three? Well, the Daily News' Vincent Bonsignore and the LA Times' Paige Leech both had stories today which were either directly or indirectly about Gilbert and the possibility that he might transfer to Sylmar from Grant.
First Vincent Bonsignore of the Daily News wrote under the headline "Arenas Deciding On Grant Or Sylmar", the following:
Grand High basketball standout Bilbert Arenas who applied last month to the Sylmar High Math and Science magnet program in the hope of playing his senior year with th eSpartans, whould learn in the next week or so if he has been accepted into the program, his father said.
"Right now we've been told we're the next in line (for admittance)," Gilbert Arenas Sr. said.
Arenas said his son has yet to decide if he will play at Grant or Sylmar.
The younger Arenas played the majority of the summer with Sylmar, leading the Spartans to the championship of the War on the Floor tournament in July."
Ok, so nothing new on the actual transfer front. For now.
