Vance Lawhorn Of Vegas Signs With Dixie--(July 17, 1998)

Vance Lawhorn (6'-7" Sr. F/C), who averaged about 30 points last year, was on the Vegas Prep Tournament all-star team, on the Vegas Holiday Classic All-Tournament team, and who made the Big Time all-tournament team last summer, committed last Sunday to play at Dixie College in St. George, Utah. Lawhorn, who originally signed with San Jose State this spring, but was allowed out of his letter of intent, will join former Nevada Bishop Gorman standout Jim Roban on the Dixie roster. Dixie coach Jeff Kidder said he was excited about getting Lawhorn and that he will be an immediate impact player.
