20th Annual Servite Summer Cage
Classic Starts Tomorrow--(July 9, 1998)

The 20th Servite Summer Cage Classic, with a 16-team field that includes Servite, Irvine, Sunny Hills, Katella, Loara, Ocean View and Santa Margarita, begins at 3 p.m. Friday with four first-round games each at Servite and Loara. The semifinals are at noon and 1:30 Sunday, with the title game set for 7:30 Sunday night. Another thanks to the OC Register for reminding us about this one. Looks like you can shuttle between Pump Camp (where the All-Star Games get underway tomorrow morning in Dominguez from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m., then down to Los Alamitos, then over to Servite or Loara, and then back up to Redondo and Pump Camp on Saturday for the start of the two competing camps. The Rim Rattler All Star Games will be held next Monday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Redondo High, while the Pump Camp second session All-Star Games will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from approximately 9:00 am. until 1:00 p.m. Non-stop action until the end of July. Big fun.
