Nike National Championships:
QBL Mystery Man Possibly Revealed--(July 31, 1998)

We got the following e-mail from David Roeder, from, we would guess, somewhere in Kansas (his e-mail had "kc-xxx.org", so it's a pretty good bet he's in Kansas somewhere). Anyway, seems that David might have a line on the new mystery man on the QBL roster at the Nike National Championships. Here's what he had to say:

I might be able to identify the new guy on the QBL roster. It could be Jibran Kelley, a senior-to-be from Lee's Summit North HS, Lee's Summit, MO (a Kansas City suburb). I've never seen him play, but he's supposed to be an inside player, about 6'7", and regarded as one of the better players in the Kansas City area (not saying much). I suspect it may be him because of the presence of Josh Kroenke on QBL. Kroenke is from Columbia, MO (about 2 hours from Lee's Summit), so they may have played AAU ball together before.

By the way, nice site. I wish we had something like it or WestCoast Hoops in the midwest.

Thanks David. And thanks for the info on Kelly.
