SoCalHoops Tournament
Announcement
More Fun In
The Living Desert--
Another Palm Springs Tournament--(July 20, 1998)
For those of you not tired of having your eyebrows singed off, your lungs charred to a crisp, or the soles of your shoes melted to the ground in 120 degree heat (we're not kidding, it was 123 degrees in Palm Springs, and only a few degrees cooler in Vegas on Saturday), we're pleased to announce that we've got some more big fun for you this weekend. If you're not going to be at the Slam-n-Jam NIT or the Double Pump Best of Summer, then you can pretend to be a marshmallow, and just ooze yourself into a seat at the Palm Springs High gym (which doesn't have the best air conditioning to begin with, but that's another story).
Yes, there's yet another Palm Springs High School Tournament this weekend. This is, we believe, the fourth in the series of four, and it promises to be one of the better ones. Here are the first round matchups for this weekend's 32 team tournament. It will be (did we mention this already) at Palm Springs High School, and will start on Friday, July 24 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue all day Saturday, with the Championship games on Sunday afternoon.
