jc shootout all-stars

While David Pump and the Pump & Run high school teams were busy in Vegas at the Big Time, Phil and Jan Bryant stayed behind at Cal State Dominguez Hills, to run a "little" JC Tournament, the Pump JC Discovery Summer Shootout. The tournament ran Friday, Saturday and yesterday, and culminated with a very nice all-star game.

The games were played all day Friday and Saturday, and the All-Star game was played yesterday. Here's who made the all-star team (note--we don't have the class designations, but it's a safe bet that all of these guys are either freshmen or sophomores, since JC's are only two year schools)

There may have been a few others (Noel Bloom and Damon Escoffery possibly, but we're not sure). Phil & Jan Bryant, the staff, and the coaches involved all did a great job with this Tournament. The play was impressive and there were even a lot of college coaches looking for some of the top prospects. Our only regret is that we didn't get to see more of it this year. We can't wait until next year.
