Inzunza Report.--(July 28, 1998)

We're not certain where "OC Fan" went to now that Jeffrey Berokoff is on his way to San Diego State. And we're actually more than a little hesitant to post the following report, but since a few folks have been taking up where the intrepid and, if nothing else, insistent OC Fan left off with requests on the Message Board for a Jerry Inzunza report (we suspect they were a bit facetious or at least half hearted), we've got big news for you.

Go check out the Orange County Register today. Find Frank Burlison's column. Then scan down to the bottom piece. Here's what Frank wrote:

Jerry Inunza hasn't attended any of the high-profile evaluation events this month, but he is someone college coaches in search of a point guard should check out.

The 5-8 Troy High senior played only with his high school during leagues this month but was a standout at the Pepperdine Team Camp in June.

Now we know Frank, and have been reading his stuff for years. He's watched more basketball than most people will in a lifetime. And he's a pretty good judge of talent. So when he says that Inzunza is "someone college coaches in search of a point guard should check out," he probably means it.
