SoCalHoops Tournament Update

"A" & "B" Division Champions--(July 20, 1998)

The "A" and "B" Championships just concluded and here's what happened:

Wisconsin Shooters defeated Fila Select Hawaii 52-40 to win the "B" Championship.

And yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. LA Rockfish Orcas defeated the Toledo Players 57-48 to win the "A" Division Championship. A team from SoCal finally wins it all.

The final game in the Open Division has not yet gotten underway (it's about 5:21 p.m now, and one of the teams is stuck in traffic), so the tournament organizers are making the announcements for the All-Tournament Team selections to fill some time. We'll have them shortly and as soon as we can get them typed up, we'll post them too.

Congratulations to the Wisconsin Shooters, and to SoCal's LA Rockfish Orcas, the "B" and "A" Division Big Time Tournament 1998 champions.
