1998 Redondo Seahawk Summer Classic--(June 15, 1998)

We just got word about the Redondo Seahawk Summer Classic which will be taking place on Friday, June 19, and Saturday June 20, 1998 at Redondo Union High. We don't have full rosters, but want to thank our friend at Redondo, assistant coach Joe Cascio for sending us the bracket. Unfortunately, it was sent in an Excel format which is not really compatible with html web coding, and therefore we can't reproduce the entire bracket. Also we don't have rosters, but we do know several of these teams and so can tell you about a few of the players only; we hope to get full rosters by the end of the week. Here are the teams coming, and the times of the games on Friday. This is a 10 team tournament (apparently), and so the competition will be brief, but fun. Here are the teams appearing:

Friday, June 19, 1998, the following games will be played in the boys' gym:

Redondo Union will play Mayfair at 5:00 p.m. --the winner will then play West Torrance at 8:00 p.m. in the boys' gym

Yosemite will play Narbonne at 6:00 p.m.

Also on Friday, the following games will be played in the girls' gym:

Banning v. St. John Bosco at 5:00 p.m.

Redondo JV v. Compton at 6:00 p.m.-- the winner of this game gets Carson at 8:00 p.m. in the Girls' gym.

If you want to see some great ball, including some early action for Andrew Zahn of Redondo Union, or the summer crew from Compton (Tito Maddox, Dony Legans), then you'll want to catch this one.
