Two Sign With Cal Poly Pomona--(June 6, 1998)

Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball will have quite a local flavor next year with the signing of two Inland Valley players, center Loni Ives of Ayala and guard Burgundie Porter of San Dimas. Ives was an all-Inland Valley selection this year and team MVP, averaging 15 points and 13 rebounds. Porter was a three-time all-Inland Valley selection, averaging 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Saints. Both played in the Daily Bulletin sponsored All-Star basketball game in March and Porter was the game's MVP.
