Kevin Nojima - Schurr
Jerome Beasley - Moreno Valley
Led by MVP Jerome Beasley (6'9") and point guard Burtice Hayes, Moreno Valley ran away with the championship 59-33 over a small but scrappy crew from Schurr of Montebello. Schurr was led all tournament by the outside shooting from Kevin Nojima (16 3's in 6 games) and great defensive efforts as a team even though they did not have a player over 6'2".
The next tournament will be the weekend of July 10-12 and will include teams such as Harvard-Westlake, Littlerock, Serra, Colony from Alaska(one of the better teams in the state), Peninsula, Chadwick, No. Torrance, Rancho Verde and others. Should be a good one.
