Bryars Named Assistant At Santa Ana College--(June 24, 1998)
The LA Times Orange County edition is reporting that Conrad Byars, longtime Orange County high school basketball coach, has been named assistant men's basketball coach at Santa Ana College. Santa Ana Coach Ray Rodriguez made the announcement on Monday. Byars has been boys' varsity coach the last four seasons at Western, where he was 31-71, including a 4-20 record last season. Before that, he coached 11 seasons at Anaheim High. He will continue to teach at Western. Byars, who played basketball at Santa Ana College in 1976-77, is a graduate of Canyon High and Cal State Fullerton.
