Vandy Gets A Playmate For
Deandre Moore--(May 19, 1998)

Deandre Moore (5'-10" Sr. PG) from Compton, who is headed for Vanderbilt, will have some additional company as Vandy recently signed Iiro Tengren (6'-9" Sr. F/C) from Lynchburg, Va. Tenngren, a native of Espoo, Finland, averaged 23.7 ppg and 9.7 rpg last year for Virginia Episcopal H.S. in his only season of American basketball. He earned all-state honors and was heavily recruited this spring by major programs such as Utah, Seton Hall, Georgia Tech, Oregon State and West Virginia. He moved here in 1997 to attend his senior year of high school; prior to that he attended high school in Helsinki, Finland, and played for International Select, a European all-star traveling team.
