Magazine's 97-98 High
School All-Americans--(May 12, 1998)
We've published just about everyone else's list of high school and prep All-Americans, so why not Slam Magazine's selections? The voters were some folks you know, some you don't: Dave Benezra and Mark Mayemura from Recruiting USA and the Rockfish League/traveling teams; Marty Blake, Director of Scouting for the NBA; Van Coleman of Van Coleman's Future Stars; Clark Francis of Hoop Scoop; Bob Gibbons of All-Star Sports Publications; Anthony McCarron a sportswriter from the New York Daily News; Greg Shemitz of Big East Briefs; and Dinos Trigonis of FullCourt Press (and MLK, Eddie Jones Classic, IntenseCity Classic, and Belmont Shores Basketball).
There are not a lot of surprises on this list. In fact no surprises at all. Well, maybe one or two. Here's the list:

Rashard Lewis (6'-10" Sr. PF) Al Harrington (6'-8" Sr. PF) Korleone Young (6'-8" Sr. PF) Dan Gadzuric (6'-11" Sr. C) Eric Barkley (6'-1" Sr. PG) |
