Former Pasadena Player Scott Signs
With Idaho Vandals--(May 7,1998)

Gordon Scott (6'-5" So. SG/SF) who originally played in Pasadena, California, and most recently played for Barton County Community College, in Kansas, signed and delivered a national letter of intent to the University of Idaho. The actual accouncement of the LOI was on April 17, 1998 by men's basketball coach David Farrar, but we figure better late than never in making the announcement here at SoCalHoops.

Scott is a very gifted shooter who hold the Barton County record for 3-pointers in a single game (9). He was selected as a preseason JUCO All-American and was voted the MVP of the All-American Tournament. He also was chosen to the all-Jayhawk West first team and the Region IV first team. His team this season finished 29-4, was ranked in the top 10 nationally among JC's. Scott averaged 22 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free throw line. He connected on 44 percent of his 3-point goals, which led to 100 3-pointers this last season. Scott also averaged five rebounds per game

He is an explosoive scoring threat and will be an immediate impact player for the Vandals next season.
